According to the HC Crusader, the College of the Holy Cross is considering arming their campus public safety officers.
Holy Cross is currently the only residential college in the city whose officers do not carry firearms.
Chief Hart of HC public safety will be making two presentations about the proposal: on Friday, Dec. 10 at 9 A.M. in Hogan 406 and on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 8 P.M. in Hogan 406.
The Crusader article is very detailed and I recommend reading it. Father McFarland will be the one to decide on whether or not to arm police officers, and if he decides in the affirmative, campus cops could be armed in 4-6 months.
