Today, fearing a North East White Pride group would be meeting at the library despite a postponement of their event, around 25 Worcesterites gathered at the library entrance to proclaim “Hate not welcome in Worcester.”
Nobody from NEWP showed up.
Meanwhile, about 40 people were inside at the scheduled screening of “The Souls of Black Girls.” One of the organizers told me this was many more people than usually attend these events. (This was in the smaller library meeting room, and close to a capacity crowd.)
