Hiawatha Bray has a good column about proposals for video game tax breaks in today’s Boston Globe:
“This is not just Madden football on your Droid,’’ [State Representative Vincent] Pedone said. “We’re talking about an industry that’s projected to be in all facets of our daily lives.’’
a better take-away: its a bad time to request new tax credits
would a better ‘solution” be that Worcester explore making an Internet gateway/enterprise zone in the Lincoln Park-Highland Street area?
Allow for the creation of other ISPs to service the area?
Higher speeds, maybe? Or free WiFI?
Something that can compete with Charter?
I am sure there is a fear of “Evergreen Solar–the Sequel” to all this too, Stew
